This M6 full hex nut is manufactured to DIN 934 in A2 stainless steel (304 grade). DIN 934 (ISO 4032) is the most widely specified general-purpose hex nut standard, with defined width across flats, height, and metric coarse thread tolerance to ensure consistent fit across suppliers. The full-height hex form provides maximum thread engagement and clamping force compared with thin (jam) nuts - suited to joints where full load-bearing capacity is required. Compatible with any M6 bolt, machine screw, or threaded rod conforming to the same metric coarse pitch specification. Where vibration resistance is a concern, pair with a DIN 985 nyloc nut on the reverse or use a spring washer under the nut face.

How do I choose between A2 and A4 stainless steel?

A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.
