Partial-thread hexagon head bolts to DIN 931 in A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless steel, M8 through M12 across 14 sizes.
DIN 931 specifies a plain unthreaded shank under the head, with threads only along the lower section of the bolt. That combination gives cleaner shear behaviour through the shank and is the correct choice when the bolted joint puts the plain shank into the shear plane - typical for structural steel and heavy timber-to-metal joints. Use DIN 933 (fully threaded) if you need thread engagement over the whole shank, for example in blind holes or thin material.
