Product Finder FAQs

How does the Product Finder work?

Choose a route. By product starts from the type of fixing, such as socket cap screws or nyloc nuts. By job starts from what you are working on, such as decking, wire balustrades or a classic car. Then pick a size and a grade. Each choice narrows the list using live stock from the Simfix range, and Show products opens the matching products with those filters already applied.

Should I choose A2 or A4 stainless steel?

A2 is 304 stainless steel and suits indoor and general outdoor use. A4 is 316 stainless steel, which contains molybdenum and resists corrosion better near the sea, around swimming pools and anywhere salt or chlorides are present. If in doubt outdoors, choose A4. Do you sell imperial fixings?

Yes. The Imperial Sizes range covers UNC, UNF, BSW and BA threads. Use the By job route and pick Imperial Sizes to narrow them down by part, size and grade.

What if I cannot find the size I need?

Try the other route, or choose Any size to see everything in that type. If it still is not there, contact us with the size, head type and thread and we will check for you.
