Hexagon dome nuts (also called cap nuts or acorn nuts) to DIN 1587 in A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless steel - the finishing nut for exposed threads on furniture, signage, handrails and decorative bolted joints.
The closed cap seals the end of the thread from moisture and knocks, and gives a clean rounded finish where the bolt would otherwise stick out. Fit last: the bolt length must be short enough that the thread does not bottom out in the dome.
