This M6 dome nut (cap nut) is manufactured to DIN 1587 in A4 stainless steel (316 marine grade). DIN 1587 specifies a standard hex nut body with a closed, smooth domed cap that covers and protects the exposed end of the bolt thread. This eliminates the snag and injury risk of protruding cut thread ends and gives a finished, decorative appearance on visible bolt ends. The hex body tightens with a standard spanner, and the dome height accommodates the full thread protrusion beyond the nut face.

A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.
