This M10 x 60mm hex bolt is manufactured to DIN 931 in A4 stainless steel (316 marine grade). DIN 931 specifies a part-threaded shank: the unthreaded plain section under the head spans the thickness of the joined parts, reducing stress concentration at the thread run-out and improving shear resistance compared with a fully threaded bolt. Property class A4-70 specifies a minimum tensile strength of 700 MPa - appropriate for structural connections and high-clamping-force applications. Pair with a matching M10 hex nut (DIN 934) or nyloc nut (DIN 985) for a complete through-bolted assembly.

Typical applications

  • Marine and coastal structures - jetties, pontoons, boat fixings
  • Swimming pool plant, water treatment facilities, and pump housings
  • Offshore and saltwater environments with prolonged wet exposure
  • Chemical plant, food processing, and washdown environments

How do I choose between A2 and A4 stainless steel?

A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.

How do I make sure I order the right size?

Check the size in the product title and the standard, material and dimensions in the Product Specification tab. In M8 x 30, M8 is the thread diameter and 30 is the length in millimetres. See our size guide if you need more help.

When will my order arrive?

Orders placed before 4pm Monday-Friday are typically dispatched the same working day and every order is tracked. Next-day delivery is free over £50, or £5.50 below that threshold. Full options are shown at checkout.
