This 10mm x 100mm hex head coach screw (lag bolt) is manufactured to DIN 571 in A2 stainless steel (304 grade). DIN 571 specifies a large hex head with a coarse wood-screw thread and gimlet point, driven with a spanner or socket rather than a screwdriver. The coarse thread provides high pull-out resistance in softwood and hardwood alike - making this the standard heavy-duty fastener for structural timber connections, post bases, brackets, and large landscaping projects. A clearance hole slightly larger than the plain shank diameter should be pre-drilled before installation.

A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.
