This M12 Form A flat washer is manufactured to DIN 125-A in A4 stainless steel (316 marine grade). A4 (316) stainless steel provides resistance to chloride ion attack - the primary cause of corrosion failure in wet, coastal, and pool environments - at a level that standard A2 (304) stainless cannot reliably match. The washer distributes clamping load under the bolt head or nut face, protecting the parent surface and increasing the effective bearing area. For a fully corrosion-resistant assembly, pair with A4 bolts and A4 nuts throughout.
