Nylon insert lock nuts (nyloc nuts) in A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless steel, from M2 to M36, plus imperial UNC and UNF sizes. A nylon ring in the top of the nut grips the bolt thread and resists loosening from vibration and repeated loading.
- Standard nyloc nuts to DIN 985, and the taller DIN 982, in A2 and A4.
- Flange nyloc nuts (DIN 6926), serrated or non-serrated, with a built-in washer face, from M3 to M12.
- Domed nyloc nuts (DIN 986) in A2, M4 to M16, which cover the thread end and lock in one.
The nylon wears each time the nut is removed, so fit a new one when you reassemble a critical joint, and keep nyloc nuts away from hot parts such as exhausts. Choose A2 for indoor and general outdoor use, and A4 for marine, coastal and salt-exposed work.
