This 1 x 25mm split pin is manufactured to ISO 1234 in A2 stainless steel (304 grade). ISO 1234 specifies a folded pin with two legs that pass through a drilled hole, for retaining castle nuts, clevis pins, and shafts. The legs are spread after fitting so the pin cannot back out, giving a positive mechanical lock that needs no thread and can be inspected at a glance.

How do I choose between A2 and A4 stainless steel?

A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.

How do I make sure I order the right size?

Check the size in the product title and the standard, material and dimensions in the Product Specification tab. In M8 x 30, M8 is the thread diameter and 30 is the length in millimetres. See our size guide if you need more help.
