This M8 x 18mm spring tension pin is manufactured to ISO 8752 in stainless steel. ISO 8752 specifies a rolled, slotted pin that compresses on insertion, for retaining parts in a drilled hole without reaming. The pin is made oversized and rolled with a slot, so it compresses as it is driven in and springs outward against the hole wall, gripping without the reamed hole a solid dowel needs.

A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.
