Simfix sells stainless steel screws in A2 (304) and A4 (316): machine, socket, hex set, grub, self-tapping, self-drilling, wood, chipboard, coach and security screws. Metric sizes run from M1 to M42 depending on the type, plus imperial UNC, UNF, BSW and BA sizes.
- Machine screws: pan, cheese, countersunk and raised countersunk heads with slotted, Pozi, Phillips or six lobe drive, from M1 to M12 and M16.
- Socket screws: socket cap, low head cap, button, flanged button, countersunk and shoulder screws, all driven with a hex key.
- Set screws and grub screws: fully threaded hex set screws to ISO 4017 and DIN 933, and headless socket set screws with cup, flat, cone or dog points.
- Self-tapping and self-drilling screws: pan, countersunk, raised countersunk and hex head styles. Use them only with the materials stated on each product page.
- Wood, chipboard and coach screws: traditional slotted and Pozi woodscrews, chipboard screws with Pozi or six lobe drive, and hex head coach screws to DIN 571 from M5 to M16.
- Security screws: pin hex, six lobe pin, one-way and two-hole screws for public places and anywhere fixings must resist tampering.
Choose A2 for indoor, workshop and general outdoor use away from the coast, and A4 near the sea or wherever fixings stay wet. Many A4 socket cap screws and hex set screws come in both property class A4-70 and the stronger A4-80. Check each product listing for available sizes, grades and pack quantities.

What types of stainless steel screws does Simfix sell?

Should I buy A2 or A4 stainless steel screws?
Choose A2 (304) for indoor, workshop and general outdoor use away from the coast. Choose A4 (316) near the sea or wherever fixings stay wet, because it resists chloride pitting. Security, thread forming and shoulder screws are listed in A2 only. The A2 v A4 guide explains the difference.
What sizes of stainless steel screws does Simfix stock?
Metric sizes run from M1 to M42, but each type has its own range. Machine screws run M1 to M12 and M16, DIN 912 socket cap screws M1.2 to M24 and M30 and DIN 933 hex set screws M2 to M42. What do A4-70 and A4-80 mean on screws?
In A4-70 and A4-80, A4 is the stainless steel alloy group and the number is the property class. Class 80 is the higher class. Simfix lists A4-70 and A4-80 mainly on hex set screws and socket cap screws. Most other screws are listed by grade only. See the fastener glossary.
