This 7/8" UNC nylon insert lock nut is manufactured in A2 stainless steel (304 grade). The nylon collar is undersized and deforms around the thread as the nut is run on, gripping it and resisting loosening under vibration without damaging the bolt thread.

Typical applications

  • Joints exposed to vibration or cyclic loading
  • Machinery, pumps, and rotating equipment
  • Vehicle, trailer, and marine assemblies
  • Any fixing that must not shake loose

Available in packs of 2 to 10, with free next-day UK delivery on orders over £50 and 30-day no-quibble returns. For coastal, marine, or chloride-rich environments, Simfix A4 (316 grade) equivalents are available.

How do I make sure I order the right size?

Check the size in the product title and the standard, material and dimensions in the Product Specification tab. In M8 x 30, M8 is the thread diameter and 30 is the length in millimetres. See our size guide if you need more help.
