This M2.5 x 12mm thread forming screw is manufactured to DIN 7500-C in A2 stainless steel (304 grade). DIN 7500-C specifies a countersunk thread forming screw with a trilobular section, forming a thread by displacement rather than cutting. The lobed shank displaces material to form a mating thread rather than cutting it, producing no swarf and leaving a work-hardened thread that resists vibration.

How do I choose between A2 and A4 stainless steel?
A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.

Check the size in the product title and the standard, material and dimensions in the Product Specification tab. In M8 x 30, M8 is the thread diameter and 30 is the length in millimetres. See our size guide if you need more help.
When will my order arrive?
Orders placed before 3:30pm Monday-Friday are typically dispatched the same working day and every order is tracked. Next-day delivery is free over £50, or £5.50 below that threshold. Full options are shown at checkout.
