This M24 hexagon collar nut is manufactured to DIN 6331 in A2 stainless steel (304 grade). DIN 6331 specifies a hexagon nut with an integral flanged collar, for spreading the clamping load without a separate washer. The collar bears on a wider area than the flats alone, protecting the surface and reducing the chance of pull-through.

How do I choose between A2 and A4 stainless steel?

A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.
