This 5.0mm x 100mm Pozidriv countersunk wood screw is manufactured to DIN 7997 in A2 stainless steel (304 grade). DIN 7997 specifies a cross-recessed countersunk head wood screw with a plain shank and tapered thread. The sharp gimlet point is self-starting in softwood; in dense hardwood, a pilot hole the diameter of the plain shank prevents splitting and makes driving easier at larger diameters. The countersunk head sits flush once fully driven, leaving the surface ready for filling, capping, or painting.

Typical applications

  • Garden decking, pergolas, and outdoor timber structures
  • Fencing, gate posts, and agricultural timber work
  • Softwood joinery, window boards, and door linings
  • Hardwood trim and furniture where a pre-drilled clearance hole is used

How do I choose between A2 and A4 stainless steel?

A2 (304) stainless steel suits most indoor, outdoor and workshop jobs. Choose A4 (316) marine grade for coastal, marine, poolside or other chloride-rich environments.

How do I make sure I order the right size?

Check the size in the product title and the standard, material and dimensions in the Product Specification tab. In M8 x 30, M8 is the thread diameter and 30 is the length in millimetres. See our size guide if you need more help.

When will my order arrive?

Orders placed before 4pm Monday-Friday are typically dispatched the same working day and every order is tracked. Next-day delivery is free over £50, or £5.50 below that threshold. Full options are shown at checkout.
