Hexagon flange screws to DIN 6921 in stainless steel. The flange under the head works as a built-in washer, spreading the clamping load over a wider area and saving a loose washer that could drop out during assembly.
Non-serrated flange screws come in A2 (304) and A4 (316) from M5 to M10. Serrated flange screws, whose ridged flange grips the surface to resist loosening, come in A2 from M4 to M12. Use them on machinery, vehicles, brackets and panels, and add a nyloc nut where a joint sees vibration.
