- Rectangular section (DIN 127-B): the classic split spring washer.
- Square section (DIN 7980): a heavier section, often used under socket cap screws.
- Curved spring washers (DIN 128-A).
- Conical spring washers (DIN 6796) for heavily loaded bolted joints.
Most are A4 (316) or listed as stainless steel, with a smaller number in A2 (304), so check the grade on each product page. A spring washer gives some resistance to loosening under light vibration; for joints that see heavy vibration, a nyloc nut is more reliable.
