Nylon insert lock nuts (nyloc nuts) to DIN 985 in A2 (304) and A4 (316) stainless steel - the standard vibration-resistant nut for joints that must stay tight through cyclic loading.
A soft nylon ring bonded into the top of the nut deforms around the bolt thread as the nut is tightened, providing a friction grip that resists loosening under vibration, thermal cycling and repeated impact. Rated for one-time use in most spec sheets - the nylon insert wears each time the nut is removed and re-fitted.
